Offences committed through social media hinder the enjoyment of this right. It is against this backdrop that countries the world over including Cameroon, have embarked on taking measures to guarantee a haven for social media users. A panoply of laws have been enacted in Cameroon and institutions set up to achieve this purpose but with little success. This paper sets out to uncover the intricacies of guaranteeing a haven for social media users in Cameroon. Through qualitative and quantitative research methods, the paper reveals that despite efforts deployed, there are jurisdictional and prosecution impediments that obstruct Cameroon\u2019s quest for protection of social media users. To counter these obstacles, the paper recommends amongst others, greater and more effective cooperation between the various stakeholders in the fight against social media crimes.\u00a0<\/p><p><b>KEY WORDS: Cameroon &#8211; Cyber Criminality- social media &#8211; Haven.<\/b><\/p><p><b>R\u00e9sum\u00e9 :<\/b> Les d\u00e9lits commis sur les R\u00e9seaux sociaux ne cessent d&#8217;augmenter au fil des jours, rendant les m\u00e9dias sociaux peu s\u00fbrs pour leurs utilisateurs, alors que la communication, m\u00eame \u00e0 travers les m\u00e9dias, est devenue un droit de l&#8217;homme.
