Résumé Le Cameroun a créé plusieurs Centres d’Excellence d’Enseignement Supérieur (CE) pour favoriser le développement des programmes innovants de formation et de recherche afin de satisfaire la demande du marché en expertise dans tous les domaines de la science et de la technologie, de soutenir la production des services divers à haute valeur ajoutée et présentant un fort avantage compétitif susceptible de contribuer à l’émergence. En dépit des résultats déjà obtenus, ces Centres font face aux contraintes liées à la gouvernance, aux financements, aux matériels et à l’inadéquation formation-emploi. Les contraintes relativisant les capacités innovatrices des CE ne suffisent pas à ruiner les perspectives encourageantes et les espoirs fixés en eux. L’analyse propose d’assurer leur cohésion institutionnelle et financière, ainsi que leur alignement aux stratégies sectorielles et à la Stratégie Nationale de Développement (SND 30).

Abstract :Cameroon has created several Centers of Excellence in Higher Education to promote the development of innovative training and research programs in order to satisfy market demand in all areas of science and technology expertise, support the production of various services with high added value and presenting a strong competitive advantage likely to contribute to the development. Despite the results already obtained, these Centers face constraints linked to governance, financing, materials and the training-employment mismatch. These constraints, compare to the innovative capacities of these Centers are not enough to ruin the encouraging hopes fixed in them. The analysis proposes to ensure their institutional and financial cohesion, as well as their alignment with sectoral strategies and the National Development Strategy (NDS-30).
